YMF Loan Australia Championship 2006
Round 4 - Ipswich, QLD

ProTwins
The opening 3 rounds of the Vee Two Ducati Australian Pro Twins Championship have been dominated by 5 times Australian Pro Twins Champion Craig McMartin riding the Gibson Freight/Carbonize Ducati 749R and the fourth round held at Queensland Raceway was no exception.
McMartin was in a class of his own taking 3 flag to flag wins after qualifying on pole. McMartin, riding the smaller capacity Ducati 749R with Supersport spec treated tyres, was able to build a solid lead in the opening laps in each of the races, leading by as much as 7 seconds by mid race. Local rider Paul Roe (Aprilia RSV-R 1000) was McMartins nearest rival finishing second in each of the 3 races. McMartin (268 points) now holds a 46 point advantage over Roe (222 points).Supersport
McMartin also competed in the highly competitive Supersport class on the second Gibson Freight/Carbonize Ducati 749R. With minimum set-up time, McMartin finished in 10th and 12th in the two Supersport races after qualifying in 11th position. Battling the faster 600cc machines, McMartin was able to use his superior riding ability to out brake and carry higher corner speed than his competitors and fight his way up to 6th position in the first race before a minor mechanical problem caused him to slow his pace and finish in 10th position. The second race was a similar affair with McMartin battling his way into 8th position before minor mechanical problems again forced him to slow his pace before finishing in 12th position.
Craigs next outing on the Carbonize sponsored Ducati 749R
will be at Symmons Plains in
